IceTrack Cycling wants to be on the Olympic program in 2022.

Why?
-Partly because it sounds like a fun and outlandish challenge.
-But partly because there really is room for a second sport in the mega expensive 400m speed skating ice ovals. Speed skating is a fantastic sport – especially if you are Dutch – but few countries take it seriously and even more tragically, during the Paralympics the venue stands empty.

In order for a new sport to be considered for inclusion in the Olympic program, at least 8 nations need to take part in a competition for 8 years before it becomes an Olympic sport. That is why on 18 February 2014, 8 nations will gather in Assen, making a little history!
