Obviously the holiday wasn’t all about doing nothing…..
We have done a series of both static and dynamic tests on different propellers and the Ice-Bat v12 (version 2012) promises to be a big step up the performance ladder! The new propellers produce up to 50% more thrust which equates to 5 – 10 km/h more speed!
Attention is now turning to organising some demonstrations once the ice rinks are open. We’ll keep you posted!
The v12 will have more power and better grip with improved aerodynamics and safety features. Launch sheduled for October 2011.

The Ice-Bat team have retreated for their summer break.
We’ll be back in the autumn for more crazy ice-challenges!

The Guiness Book of Records has rejected the initial application to recognise the Ice-Bat’s achievements. Hopefully we’ll put that right next season.

From 10th – 13th March the Ice Speedway (http://www.ijsspeedway-assen.nl/) will be held in Assen, NL. The Ice-Bats will be there to show off as well so come and join the fun! Ice-Bat details will be posted the week before the event.

The last round of testing for the 2010/2011 season has been completed and the best lap time stands at 43.8 seconds now. I guess after another 2 or 3 years of development it will be down to 33.8 seconds???

However it is not all about ultimate speed. Relative speed is critical and the plan is to have sponsored race series during the 2011/2012 season.
